I displayed a large number of coloured grunts at Handmade Britain's Pop-Up Shop at the fabulous Somerset House.
"The subject of my exhibition ‘of ground, or air’ is pretty open, broad enough for me to create a variety of pieces that I will feel familiar to most whilst being intriguing. I hope to emulate the wonder people have always felt looking skyward to the heavens and likewise of looking down from great heights. I am interested in Japanese history and culture, and this will be reflected in my work, in particular the ‘Hanabi’ firework festivals."
With artists from two cultures that give great importance to cultivating and enjoying gardens, the artworks give personal and sometimes contrasting methods of experiencing gardens, landscapes and related themes.
The theme "gardens" gives surprisingly numerous angles for artists to explore, from Traditional gardens to the legendary gardens at Babylon and Eden.
